Our lack of success in art began at a fundamental level with a simple mis-reading of the field. We had originally thought that art was about a process of continuous revolution, that what was old must be re-examined and dismantled in a quest for freedom. In reality, art is about selling art objects and looking cool .
we executed the announced meeting on the poster and we found some willing collaborators that would show their selected artwork in dialog with the collection of the Städtische Galerie Karlsruhe. For the actual show at the gallery we showed up with the collection of pieces that collaborators provided. To give any person who reads this text a rough outline of how our project got executed for the show: we had following 3 elements: First one was a archival table where visitors of the Meisterschüler Show could get information and take a room plan to see where in the gallery our collaborators artworks took place and we also provided free headphones to listen to our self produced audioguide. Like for the real show in 2019, you can let yourself guide with this very self-produced audioguide for the following impressions on our great contribution to the amazing and final show as Meisterschülers of the Kunstakademie Karlsruhe.
Please note: The audio data we provide on our website is intended as an information guide for this exhibition. They are not intended for commercial purposes and may not be reproduced or distributed in any way. Although we wrote and recorded the audio guide ourselves, it was brought to our attention that a 1960s music group had already produced and secured the rights to an album that some legal scholars believe is strikingly similar to our audio guide. Any coincidence is completely coincidental!
